Perfect Shredded Chicken

The easiest shredded chicken that comes out perfect every time!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 to 4 boneless/skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp each of salt & pepper
  • 1/2-3/4 cup water enough to come up 1/3 way of chicken

Method
 

  1. Place 2-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the slow cooker (you can use thighs too).
  2. Pour about 3/4 cups water in the bottom of the slow cooker -- DO NOT COVER THE CHICKEN WITH WATER!
  3. Sprinkle with salt & pepper.
  4. Cover with the lid and cook on LOW for 3 hours.
  5. Take out immediately and shred with two forks.
  6. Store in airtight container in the fridge.
